An Official Ceremony was Held in Bandırma Republic Square for "18 March Martyrs' Day of Commemoration and Çanakkale Victory"

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özdemir attended the official ceremony held in Bandırma Republic Square on the occasion of "18 March Martyrs' Day and Çanakkale Victory".

Representing our university, our Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özdemir attended the ceremony, Bandırma District Governor Engin Aksakal, Bandırma Garrison Commander Hv. Plt. Brigadier. General Selahattin Akalp, Bandırma Mayor Atty. Tolga Tosun, Bandırma Chief Public Prosecutor Cüneyt Demirdaş, Police Chief Soner Duran, District Gendarmerie Commander Gendarmerie Captain Mahir Mavi, district protocol, representatives of political parties, representatives of non-governmental organizations, relatives of our martyrs, veterans and many citizens also took part.

At the ceremony, which started with the laying of a wreath, a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Resul Yavuz gave a speech on the meaning and importance of the day, and the activities ended with the poems recited by the students studying in the district schools.

After the ceremony in Cumhuriyet Square, Bandırma Martyrdom was visited. After the prayers read to the souls of our heroic martyrs, flowers were left on the graves of our martyrs.
